Prince Harry Looks Forward to Turning 40 and Embracing the Next Chapter
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, is approaching a major milestone as he turns 40 on September 15th, and he’s embracing this new decade with enthusiasm.
In a statement shared with the BBC on September 13th, Harry reflected on his personal growth and outlook, saying, "I was nervous about turning 30, but I’m genuinely excited for 40. No matter my age, my goal remains the same: to keep showing up and making a positive impact."
The father of two, who shares son Archie and daughter Lilibet with his wife Meghan Markle, also gave a glimpse into how he plans to mark the occasion. He revealed that his actual birthday will be spent quietly with his family, followed by a celebratory trip with close friends.
Naturally, Harry couldn’t help but express how becoming a parent has shaped his life. "Being a father to two incredibly kind and hilarious children has given me a new perspective and deepened my commitment to my work," he shared. "Parenthood is one of the greatest joys, and it has only made me more motivated to contribute to making the world a better place."
As the founder of the Invictus Games, Harry is ready to continue his mission of service, stating, "I’m more driven than ever. Bring on the next decade!"
Harry and Meghan have been residing in Montecito, California, for over four years after stepping back from their royal duties in 2020. Earlier this year, Harry made a brief visit to the UK to see his father, King Charles III, after the King’s cancer diagnosis. In March, Harry and Meghan also sent well-wishes for recovery after learning that Catherine, Princess of Wales, was undergoing cancer treatment.
